About Bangmakok Sato

Thai people call rice wine "Sato". Bangmakok is Thailand's premium brand of Sato rice wine, the national drink enjoyed by people in Thailand for centuries. Our brewery is located in Namkliang District of Sisaket Province, near the Dongrak mountain range, bordering Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. Namkliang means clear water in Thai and has been famous for evergreen forest aquifer water of high quality which makes an ideal ingredient for Sato brewing.

Can Thai Rice Wine's Reputation Catch Up With Thai Cuisine's International Fame?

While traditional Thai cuisine has received international recognition for its unique flavours, Thai wines reputation is still a mystery. Aspiring to enliven the Sato tradition and its Thai roots while defining its future, we have a mission to take Sato to the world on a grand stage.

We have created a perfect blend of traditional and artisanal method with modern know-how, driven by the relentless pursuit of quality and contemporary elegance. Having a set of four premium Satos currently produced and bottled under Bangmakok label, our company set out to develop new products that would help fill the growing demand for Thailand's premium alcoholic beverage.

Today the company is advised by some of the nation's wine experts. Our creative team of marketing, sales, and brewing experts have been joining forces in an effort to develop traditional Sato that appeals to the current generation through innovation and a willingness to explore the boundaries of what is possible for Sato.
